Tantalum can be used to make tantalum welded tube and tantalum seamless pipes and has a wide range of uses. The manufacture of tantalum seamless tube is by extrusion, pipe reduction or deep drawing from sheet metal. The welding method is to form strips first, then make them into tubes, and then weld the seams with gas tungsten arc (GTAW).
