Self-Adhesive Polymer Modified Bitumen Waterproof Membrane
Product Description
The self-adhesive polymer modified bitumen waterproof membrane is available in two types: without mat (N) and with polyester mat (PY). It is made with petroleum Bitumen as the base material, modified with styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-butyl rubber (SBR), and tackifying resin. The polyester mat (PY) serves as the reinforcement layer. The upper surface is covered with cross-laminated polyethylene film (PE film), polyester film (PET film), or removable silicone release film, while the lower surface is covered with removable silicone release film.

Product Features
1、Tackifying resin enhances the membrane's adhesion strength, ensuring a secure bond with the substrate.
2、Strong initial adhesion allows for secure bonding at temperatures above 5°C without the need for heating equipment, it is safety, environmental friendliness, and convenience.

How to Use :
Hot Adhesive Construction:
Construction Process - Subgrade treatment → Additional layer construction → Hot adhesive large area construction (laying the membrane) → Air expulsion and compaction → Water tightness test → Protective layer construction
Key Points of Construction -
1、Subgrade treatment: Clean the surface first; the subgrade should be solid, smooth, and clean.
2、Additional layer construction: For areas such as corners, pipe roots, gutters, and expansion joints, additional layer treatment should be applied by pre-cutting the membrane to the appropriate size and shape.
3、Large area construction: Use non-curing adhesive for hot adhesive waterproofing membrane composite construction, ensuring the non-curing coating thickness meets relevant specification requirements; roll out the waterproofing membrane while applying the non-curing adhesive.
4、Lap joint treatment: The lap width of the membrane should be 100mm; the lap area should be sealed separately, using the hot adhesive method. The lap joint should be filled with an Bitumen strip.
5、Water tightness test: Conduct the water tightness test according to the construction plan requirements.
6、Protective layer construction: A protective layer should be set up on the outer surface of the waterproof layer according to relevant specifications or design requirements.

Self-Adhesive Method Construction:
Construction Process - Sub-grade treatment → Additional layer construction → Self-adhesive large area construction → Air expulsion and compaction → Water tightness test → Protective layer construction
Key Points of Construction -
1、Sub-grade treatment: Clean the surface first; the sub-grade should be solid, smooth, and clean; apply a primer evenly, ensuring full coverage without missing any spots; wait until the surface is dry before laying the membrane.
2、Additional layer construction: For areas such as corners, pipe roots, gutters, and expansion joints, additional layer treatment should be applied by pre-cutting the membrane to the appropriate size and shape. For details where the membrane is not easily adhered, auxiliary heating equipment may be used.
3、Large area construction: After the sub-grade primer is dry, the membrane should be laid out promptly. Start by fixing the beginning and then unroll gradually,揭 revealing the isolation material while laying along the baseline, and roll press the membrane as you lay it down.
4、Water tightness test: Conduct the water tightness test according to the construction plan requirements.
5、Protective layer construction: A protective layer should be set up on the outer surface of the waterproof layer according to relevant specifications or design requirements.

Precautions:
1、Construction is strictly prohibited during rain, snow, or winds above level 5.
2、The ambient temperature during construction should not be below 5°C.
3、In the event of precipitation during the construction process, protective measures should be taken for the already laid membranes.
4、At lower temperatures or where there is significant stress, hot melt construction can be used for laying.
5、After the membrane is laid on vertical surfaces, the ends should be fixed or embed into the top grooves of the wall, and sealed with sealing material.

Products Application
1、It is suitable for waterproofing projects on non-exposed roofs or underground engineering (including open-cut subways), as well as for open-cut subways, tunnels, and waterproofing projects for pools and canals. 
2、Particularly suitable for waterproofing projects where open flames are not allowed. Double-sided self-adhesive membranes are used for auxiliary waterproofing ,and also it can be used for bonding and sealing at the junctions of two incompatible waterproofing layers.
